Stopped in after a recommendation. This place is awesome. The staff was super friendly and it felt very welcoming. The restaurant was clean and there is plenty of seating. We got a sauce burger and let me tell you it was amazing. Do yourself a favor and get the collards. One of my favorite spots in Lynchburg.
Our family had a fried chicken feast from Kenney's and it was excellent- the chicken was well cooked, perfectly coated with a tasty breading that was not greasy and the coleslaw was just the way I like it- with a good amount of onion. The biscuits were home made as was the potato salad. I liked the little savory donuts- i guess they were "hush-puppies", The whole thing was packed up for us in a large aluminum tray that kept it nice and warm. Prices are reasonable.
The chicken livers are fantastic, not greasy. Drive thru crew so pleasant and cheerful. All food is made to order!!! Great prices for fresh hand breaded chicken and livers.
First time trying Kenny's, and I'm glad I did! Very good friend chicken and I don't mind the wait to get it hot and fresh. Fried Honey Biscuits.... who'd of thunk! Can't wait to try a milkshake and Sauce Burger! Sure wish they had homemade sweet tea though...
